WOW, Has it been a Year?

WOW, has it been a YEAR?

Just one year ago you helped us to achieve our dreams! For my daughter it was writing a book. It's funny, she always thought her first book would be a horror novel. Talk about a complete change of direction. Writing about the very fairy friends has been so much fun and inspiring for her and she  can't wait to continue to write stories about these super cute characters and all the interesting and magical ways that they help little one's along the way. We've learned and experienced so much over this past year it's incredible. There were some minor setbacks and unavoidable delays during the manufacturing process and the time it took from project start to finish took longer than anticipated, but the end result was so worthwhile. We hope you all agree!

By the end of August we fulfilled ALL 279 backer rewards. We've heard amazing feedback thus far about all the great ways fairy doors are being used across the world. Thank you so much for sharing your pictures and stories with us. The most heartwarming of course are all the smiley children that are loving their very own fairy door. Please do continue to let us know what you like, what we could change or do better and most of all please share your stories. We love to hear from you and all the good that comes from these tiny doors.
These are our favourites so far....

What's next... The Bala Cranberry Festival
This International Festival is just over a week away and we are super excited for a fun packed weekend of entertainment, food and shopping. We have a few fun things in store. Carlie (Author) will be BOOK SIGNING from 9-noon each day, and I have been busy colouring and framing our sweet little fairies for the festival. Because each fairy is coloured by hand, there's a limited quantity available. Don't miss your chance to get one. We will be in the curling club building as far as we know. As well you can purchase your book/door at our booth and we will sign it. We accept debit, and credit cards

If you would like to see the RED FAIRY being coloured here is the link to my Youtube channel. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TSsVpe0oDbE
Warning!!! This video may put you to sleep..but it gives you an idea of the process and just how long each one takes to color.
The Christmas holidays are fast approaching and it's the perfect time to gift A Very Fairy Door to your children, grandchildren, nieces, neighbors or maybe even to donate to a local charity.
Festival details: Oct 14-16th Location: 3066 Muskoka Road 169, Bala
What better way to spend a beautiful Fall weekend then in the Muskoka's (with us:)
Thanks again friends. Wishing you and the ones you love a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend!

What have i been up too?

Well i finally made my way back to blog land. It has been forever hasn't it?
As you all know I've been up to my ears in A Very Fairy Door.

I'm almost back into the swing of things..i hope anyway. We have been
busy promoting our Book/Door at every opportunity and have a few
shows that are coming up fast at a few bigger cities as well as locally
to show off our super cute product. Wish us good luck.

On to other things...I have still been coloring and have made quite a few
commission cards in between the madness. I thought i would drop by
and post a few images of the cards I've made recently.

Many thanks for having a look and i hope to see you all again much
sooner than last time..haha

First up a Make it Crafty image:

Krista has closed her shop but thank goodness

A Kenny K image for our paperboy who went off to school, with a
little something inside...
sniff sniff, he was the best paper boy we ever had..

I found this coloring page online for a new baby.
My customers requested a rhino..apparently it's a family thing..ha

Another Krista Smith image.
This one was made to a co-worker who decided to go back
to school to further her education.

I have done quite a few more but i didn't even take the time to take pictures..
One day i'll get myself together again..ha ha

Many thanks for dropping by and having a look. All these were colored with

Mother's Day and CHALLENGE!!

Mother's Day!!
Hey everyone, thanks for dropping in!
As you all know i lost my MOM in January but i think of her everyday!

I wanted to make this card in memory of her and seeing as her most
favorite thing was flowers, i made this card to showcase that.
I used the most gorgeous paper's from Paper Garden
Let's have a look and read the bottom of the post for all the details.

Ok as you can see i went to work on my cuttlebug to cut these dies out.
I have to say these papers are such nice quality, so thick and a dream to use
with die cuts. No tearing and they popped right out of my dies..
It's really hard to tell with the light colours i used but this paper just shimmies..
And you can see, during my picture taking i smeared my ink on the love. Thankfully
i was able to fix it. I'm just so impatient and can't wait for it to dry...humph.
If you would like to join in on the fun..here is the link to get your submissions in.
I'm so sorry for the late notice but you have till the eighth to get them in..
Good luck everyone!!
Papers colours i used: Stardream Kunzite -purple
Essie Pearlized White
and
Stardream Aquamarine
Shine Lime Satin

Thanks for the Condolences!!

Thank you so much for the Condolences!
I'm almost Back...i think..

Hey gang i have just got back to the swing of things since my Mom passed away suddenly. Our family has been very busy moving her items and cleaning out her apartment. I want to thank you all for the support and well wishes through this difficult time. I really appreciate those who have been waiting on me to resume my DT obligations. I should have more videos up in a couple of weeks and a new look for my blog..if i can get things together. I have great intentions on getting things done but sometimes TIME just slides away.

I have a new challenge that i'm starting with my daughter this Monday..yikes how did it get here so fast. We have six months to lose weight. Top loser gets treated big time.
What prompted this change, well for me losing my parents due to health issues is a big motivator for me. And of course to spend bucket loads of time with my grandchildren for many years to come.
And well....My son is getting married in a year at a destination wedding and i'm just saying...
you are NOT going to see me in a swim suit looking as i do now..

That being said i will try and share my journey with those who are interested and will keep in touch and make sure i get some new videos out there too...ha ha.

I have also decided i will provide you with posts containing affiliate links for your convenience.
Just items i love that may help you to find them easier..i may receive a very small commission but it will NOT result in additional charges to you or cost you anything extra. This small commission will help pay the fees to keep this site up and running. Thank you so much for your continued support!

Here are some affiliate links to show you what i mean!
Sorry for those of you who visit using mobile devices won't be able to see, Working on it..

Again Many thanks for dropping by and will see you all so very soon!!!
